My wife, Pamela, meeting her nephew for the first time. Lockdown has been full of ups and downs for lots of people across the world. This was both for Pamela. She is very much a ‘baby holder’ and cradling her brother’s son would have meant the world to her. Smiles through the windows would have to suffice. And will have to continue to suffice, at least for the coming months.
I’m sure it will make the first hug all the more satisfying.
I should point out that I am not a ‘baby holder’. I’m fine once they get to the stage that I can throw them away and they won’t get hurt but until then I’m pretty useless. So the wee man here doesn’t know how lucky he is that we were separated by glass and law. I would have dropped him and ruined everyone’s day/life.
